What should be noted when using a horizontal machining center?

A horizontal machining center refers to a machining center that is set parallel to the spindle on the worktable. A horizontal machining center usually has three linear motion coordinate axes plus a worktable rotation axis. A horizontal machining center can clamp workpieces at once, select different cutting tools according to the program, automatically change the spindle speed, and complete multiple processes on multiple surfaces in the programming order. This type of machining center is suitable for machining box type parts.
Horizontal machining centers are generally installed in the machining workshop, where there are many mechanical equipment, inevitably leading to significant fluctuations in the power grid. Therefore, the installation position of the horizontal machining center must strictly control the voltage and current of the power supply, and the voltage and current of the power supply must be controlled within the allowable range of the horizontal machining center. The voltage and current of the power supply must be stable, otherwise it will directly affect the normal operation of the horizontal machining center.
Horizontal machining centers should be installed away from the source, away from direct sunlight, without thermal radiation, and away from moisture. When there is a seismic source near the installation location of the horizontal machining center, an anti-seismic trench should be set up around the horizontal machining center. If no shock-absorbing groove is installed, it will directly affect the machining accuracy and stability of the horizontal machining center. Over time, it will affect the poor contact of electronic components and cause failures, affecting the reliability of the horizontal machining center.
When using a horizontal machining center, customers cannot arbitrarily change the factory parameter settings of the machine tool, as these factory parameter settings are directly related to the dynamic characteristics of each component of the horizontal machining center. Gap compensation parameter values can be set according to the actual situation. If you want to change the factory setting parameters, you should contact the manufacturer and change the factory parameter settings under the guidance of the manufacturer's technical personnel.
Horizontal machining centers generally need to operate in environments below 30 degrees Celsius to function properly. The distribution box of a horizontal machining center is generally equipped with an exhaust fan and a cooling fan to ensure that electronic components and central processing units work at a constant temperature. If the temperature and humidity are too high, the lifespan of the control system components will decrease, leading to an unreasonable increase in horizontal machining center failures. If the humidity increases, the dust on the integrated circuit board will increase, which will directly lead to poor contact and short circuit faults.
